If you ask me, it sounds better than what we're getting currently in Indy and better than what we will be getting in F1 next year.

You can get those spare chassis from old backmarker F1 teams cheap, add an an 800HP LS motor for around $22K and it would be pretty fun! Its all the tyres and other spares that cost money. It doesn't sound right though, I would like to know what that is.

I just read the description of the video. Says this thing can produce 700 HP at 11,000 RPM. Awesome.

I was going to say the RPMs are way up

Funny thing is that when IRL ran normally aspirated V8s people bitched that they didn't sound like Indycars. Now they bitch the the turbo motors don'e sound like Indycars. People are all over the place with this.

I don't really care for the previous generation of motors, the all Honda ones. Tough as nails, but they just sounded like "an engine". The current cars are also pretty meh, but perhaps a little nicer than the old one. It's a sad thing that as modern piston engines get smaller and also turboed, they don't sound as good.

Not always the size that matters. I do know what you are talking about though. I had the pleasure of hearing V10 F-1 cars at Indy and it was amazing.

I have the audio from multiple sources of that BRM V16 downloaded. It's truly epic. I had it in mind when I was writing my previous post, actually.
